Suzuki Awards Their Top Performing Dealers
Suzuki Auto South Africa honoured their top performers at their recent annual Dealer of the Year Awards.
There is absolutely no doubt that Suzuki Auto South Africa has been enjoying an extremely strong run lately, managing to achieve exceptional sales success despite the difficult economic climate.
Suzuki knows that success on the balance sheets starts with success on the showroom floors, and recognising that success took place at their annual Dealer of the Year Awards in Durban.
The theme of this year’s awards was “Market of Excellence” and as part of the gala event, they took the opportunity to discuss how the company could further enhance their high levels of customer service and sales support, which ultimately helped them earn the title of South Africa’s top-selling passenger vehicle brand in May of this year.
The first of the evening’s awards honoured the Platinum and Elite Dealers. These dealers achieved high average scores across all criteria, including customer service, parts support, new car sales support and a supportive finance and insurance team.

Apart from honouring their successful dealers, Suzuki Auto South Africa also has special group awards for individuals who have performed exceptionally across the various service categories. These are the individuals who carry that Suzuki spirit and this the year, the awards went to:

The top three awards for the dealership with the highest sales were; Suzuki Boksburg (3rd), Suzuki Menlyn (2nd) and Suzuki Bassonia (1st), which also holds the record for the highest sales of any dealer in a single month.
The final awards of the evening, and most anticipated were The Dealers of the Year Awards, which were handed to the most successful dealer in each of the following categories:
- Rural Dealer of the Year: Suzuki Vredenburg.
- Small Dealer of the Year: Suzuki Cape Town
- Medium category Dealer of the Year: Suzuki Helderberg.
- Large Dealer of the Year: Suzuki Bramley.
Aside from just taking home the Medium category Dealer of the Year, the team from Suzuki Helderberg had to return to the stage because apart from winning their category, they also took home the coveted title of Overall Suzuki 2021 Dealer of the Year.
Speaking at the awards, Brendon Carpenter, Brand Marketing Manager of Suzuki Auto South Africa said, “That is why we put so much effort into our Dealer of the Year Awards as it gives recognition to the daily hard work of our 81 dealers in South and Southern Africa,”.
Given Suzuki’s top-ranking performance in recent months, I don’t think there is a harder working dealer network in SA, and each winner truly deserves the award they took home.
